I was a bit too old to really watch Pokemon when i was younger. Maybe I would have appreciated it more if it were a musical…just like this video I found on the internet the other day. Check it out…but for now I’m on to my next pop culture fix.

I saw this story on the one of the morning shows today and it talked about how this guy in San Diego decided to deep fry Kool-Aid. I mean, I’m all for county fair foods, like chocolate covered bacon and deep fried White Castle burgers, but this seems a little far fetched.
That being said, I’d still eat it. Would you?

I like rap, and I like organic free-range foods, so it seems like the media gods have answered my prayers today with this amazing rap song detailing the trials and tribulations of the Whole Foods Parking lot. I also spend $80 on six items, and constantly look for a bottle of pinot noir under $20. So, DJ Dave, kudos for your excellent skills in writing about the hardships of West LA. For now though, onto my next pop culture fix…

I remember growing up in the late 80s/early 90s and being excited every Saturday morning to turn on the TV and watch two hours of wrestling. Macho Man Randy Savage was as much a part of my childhood as old school Nintendo and baseball practice. After finding this video on the web, I feel the urge to crank his rap album in my car and eat a box of Slim Jims. On to my next pop culture fix for now though.

I remember how when I was younger, I’d fake being sick so I could stay home from middle school and watch the “The Price is Right” with the one-two knockout combo of Bob Barker and Rod Roddy. There was something exciting about spinning the wheel and yelling at the TV what I thought a mid-1990s Ford truck cost, and hoping Plinko would be one of the games played. This video I found has a look back at the 25th anniversary show. I was probably about halfway through a bowl of soup and ginger ale during this one. Off to find my next video fix now though.

Back in college, I remember there was this girl who I really liked, and in order to impress her, I watched ‘The Notebook’ with her on a rainy Thursday evening. I gotta admit though, the movie would have been ten times better if Ryan Gosling had used karate moves like the ones he has in this video I’ve found. Seriously though, who keeps karate moves like this locked up inside? Anywho, on to find my next video fix.
